Town boss Mick McCarthy will hope to have striker Daryl Murphy available for today’s game at Charlton despite the Irishman suffering a knee injury in the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Bristol City.

The home side had the better of the first half with Thomas’s backheel giving them the lead at the break. The Blues dominated possession for much of the second period but were unable to get on terms before Green added the second.

DJ Campbell scored twice and Daryl Murphy once as Town beat Millwall 3-0 at Portman Road to halt the Lions’ unbeaten run at 13 games. The Blues, who have now won three in a row themselves, went in front in the first half when Campbell converted Aaron Cresswell’s cross, then after the break Murphy netted the second and Campbell added the third from the penalty spot.

Michael Chopra netted his first goal under Mick McCarthy’s management in the final minute as the Blues came from behind to win 2-1 at Bolton Wanderers. The home side had gone in front through Mark Davies in the first half, but DJ Campbell equalised from the spot after Daryl Murphy had been fouled, then Chopra completed the job at the death.

Forest keeper Lee Camp should already have been sent off before he and ex-Blues loanee Danny Collins failed to deal with a long ball and N’Daw netted his first goal for Town. Blackstock equalised for the visitors after the break but Hyam slammed in his first for the Blues after Campbell’s penalty had been saved and Murphy added the third late on.
